Sustainability & SDGs
Since 2009, sustainability has been central to how I work at Factual TV. It means making conscious choices that reduce environmental impact—both in the office and on location—while encouraging the freelancers and clients I work with to do the same. Sustainability is not just a practice; it’s a responsibility I embrace in everything I do.
In the Office
I prioritise reuse and recycling, print on both sides of paper, and repurpose materials wherever possible. Printing is kept minimal. Energy-efficient fixtures, curtains, and fans help reduce electricity use, and air conditioning is set at a moderate 24°C to conserve energy.
On Film Productions
Crew are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, and single-use drinks are limited to recyclable aluminium cans. Catering uses reusable or recyclable containers, and local ingredients are prioritised whenever possible. Carpooling, shared transport, and remote post-production reviews further reduce our carbon footprint.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
My work aligns with several UN SDGs. Sustainability is an ongoing journey. I am committed to learning, improving, and sharing practices that inspire others to make a difference too. Here’s how you can take action too: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/takeaction/
