Forest Learning Centre

The Forest Learning Centre (FLC) at Perdana Botanical Gardens, Kuala Lumpur is a community-driven space that encourages public engagement with Malaysia’s rich natural heritage. Nestled in one of Kuala Lumpur’s vital green lungs, FLC is an independently run gallery that collaborates with individuals and organisations focused on forest, marine, and wildlife conservation. Through curated exhibitions, guided nature walks, and interactive sharing sessions, we foster appreciation for Malaysia’s ecosystems. Our monthly themed programmes offer hands-on experiences and explore the interconnectedness of nature.
Besides the exhibition, local collaborators—Kampung Busut Baru (9 Aug) and Sahabat Gambut Asli Temuan (10 Aug)—showcased handicrafts in celebration of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (10:00–11:45 AM). The Selangor State Forestry Department also presented their peat swamp conservation efforts (10:00 AM–4:00 PM, both days).
